Family Mediation

Family Mediation deals with all issues involving:

  • Civil Partners
  • Married Couples
  • Grandparents
  • Former Cohabitants
  • Unmarried couples
  • Cohabiting couples

It is effective in issues relating to child, finance and property matters following the breakdown of a relationship.

Mediating when you cannot agree on arrangements for the children after a separation is less disruptive for the children, quicker and cheaper than taking the matter to court.

Before an application can be made to the court, it is a requirement that you attend a MIAMS. The aim is to explore whether mediation is suitable. The court will have to be satisfied that mediation was considered before an application can proceed.

Mediation is less expensive and less stressful than having a prolonged court proceeding.

We can assist with the complications of divorce and separation as well as the issues regarding children, finances, properties etc.
